Growing a Space for Marijuana Smokers

Greetings Potheads,

It’s your boy, Jackson Blaze, here to give you a quick update on what is happening with the website. After tinkering with this site for a few years, now is the time to really put some energy behind it and start to grow it the right way. With that I am unveiling the social networking site for tokers and potheads.

Let’s get together, puff some goodness, and talk about the issues that smokers love to talk about. SMOKING MARIJUANA!!! This is great because it can be done on a private website, anomously, and we have total control over what we post and what stays.

You know with sites like Facebook and MySpace, they edit the content so we cannot post everything that we might not want to post. Plus this information is tied directly to our personal facebook accounts that your friends and family, who don’t approve of marijuana, might see and become offended.

I am sure many of you out there could give a fuck less who sees and whose feelings are hurt, but there are many more of you out there that do care. Therefore, we are trying to look out for one another.

Now just because we are going to this social networking format doesn’t mean that I won’t be bringing you my marijuana perspective because I will. That is the beauty of this new site layout. I can talk with you via my articles, pictures and Blaze Beauties, but you can still add your input, meet great smokers from all over the world, and do all this from the privacy of your own home.

Things to come

I am still working on a few things that I want to add to the site, so bare with me. But I am looking to get a section on the site for adding pictures and videos. I know you guys and gals love to share your pics of the best strains of marijuana that you have ever smoked before or pics, videos of you smoking marijuana or how it is really done. Not to mention those that want to show off their growing skills to the people that will appreciate it.

All of these things and more are coming. The one thing that I would ask you to do is to sign up for the site. Join and start some groups and group forum discussion, invite your friends, roll a phatty, and let’s get it on!!!

Here’s to the smoker in you!

Out of Weed? Roll up the blunt roaches

I cannot be the only marijuana smoker that saves the roaches to the blunts or joints that I am smoking in the ashtray. Isn’t this like a widespread practice? Or am I just the one? Seems to me this is what people all across the globe are doing.

Anyway, since I was sitting there doing I thought that I would explain the practice to you guys just in case you are interested. Before we begin, let’s address why you would want to do this. The answer should be obvious.

You are out of weed

Once you take that sweet last puff of ganja that you have slowly been watching get smaller and smaller, there is a feeling that comes over your body. This is your last high….at least until you go and get some more marijuana.

Yet, if you have been saving your joint and blunt roaches, the end tips of the marijauan, then you could be in business if you don’t mind taking a little bit of time. The trick is there are small amounts of marijuana left in each roach, you just have to concentrate that so you can smoke it.

1. Gather all the roaches from your ashtrays. Determine how many roaches you have.

2. Fold some joint paper in half.

3. Crack each roach open emptying the contents into the joint paper

4. After sufficient amount, roll the joint paper up.

5. Fire it up!

At this point, you have made one more joint to keep the party going by using the roaches in your ashtray. Sure, you can hit each joint directly, but that is often too close to the fire. Why not just take a little extra time and enjoy the ganja just a little bit more?

Besides, there is something about the ends of roaches. They seem to contain the most THC as the smoke has traveled down threw them, so it is usually a pretty good high. Well the last high is always pretty good.

Two Mile Run and a Marijuana Cool Down

As mentioned, I am running the 2010 Chicago Marathon. It has always been a life goal of mine. Well, the pre-training has begun. It is not my intention to go into my training all flabby because I have been doing much over the last 3 or 4 months. After doing P90X, frankly, my body was tired, so I took a rest.

This coming May marks 18 weeks from the Marathon, which is the training program that I am following. You can see it here,  Marathon training schedule. It is no joke and there is a 6 mile run at the end of week 1. Can’t set myself up for failure like this by not getting ready.

The Workouts Begin

Thus, I, Jackson Blaze, the Motivated Pothead, has been working out over the past two days. Yesterday, I got up and went to workout at the fitness club. Got in some great bench work, curls, pull ups, tri-ceps and a 1 mile run. Topped it off with the steam room, but the it was unusually hot, so I only stayed like 5 minutes.

After the workout, I felt great. Got my shower in and got down to work. After working a few hours, the crave began. The Mothership was calling and it was time to take a flight. I grabbed my humidor for my stash….AND IT WAS EMPTY! :(

What a terrible feeling! So, I did what I had to did to get what I wanted…and it worked. Fortunately, I had a blunt left over, so I rolled that and puffed a way. Great ending to the first day back working out.

Today’s Run and smoke Session

Today, I got up feeling good. A bit sore as I haven’t worked out in a bit as I explained, but I was ready to go. Last night, I talked with my wife and we agreed that we would go for a three mile run in the morning after she dropped our children off at school.

Well, we got it in. Instead of three miles, we ran two miles. Which was great because I might not have made the third mile. LOL, I am laughing, but I am serious.

In the middle of the second mile, my shoe string came untied and I was so happy to stop and tie it up. Telling the truth, I even tied my other shoe again, just go buy extra rest time.

Well, it worked. After the much needed break, we continued on our run home. It was exhilarating as we kicked it round the bend all the way to the house. I felt like my heart was going to jump out my chest, but we made it.

I struggled up the drive, took a shower, and fired up the other half of that blunt. Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, flight time has started and we are cruising on the mothership. In fact, get some of this. This song is called “Flight Time” by Donald Bird and it is so appropriate.

With my lungs feeling great from the run, my spirit elevated from the ganja, I am off into my day. Hope you have a good and let’s keep it moving.

But remember, if I can do it, so can you. Smoking marijuana doesn’t have to hold you back from doing anything. All you need to succeed in any venture is drive and motivation. You have the drive, I have the motivation for you, now let’s get it done. I know you have something that you are chasing that you are after, go get it. Write it down and get it done.

Blaze to Run the Chicago Marathon

It’s true, did read the title correctly. I, Jackson Blaze, Chronic weed smoker, will run the Chicago Marathon!!!

It is my aim to put to rest once and for all the fact that Marijuana smokers are not good for nothing. In fact, marijuana smokers are the backbone of the society and hopefully, they put their powers to better use.

To show the strength, dedication, and motivation that a marijuana smoker has, I have entered the Chicago 2010 Marathon and plan on running the entire way. No, I will not be smoking weed while I am running the marathon, but I will not stop smoking weed during my training.

Workout Schedule

I need to calculate my actual start date, but here is a link to my training schedule that I will be following, marathon training schedule. It is an 18 week program that I will be on and training for the Chicago marathon. Going to be a serious challenge.

If you clicked over the schedule, then you will see I will be training about 6 days a week for 18 weeks. After most of those days after running, I will come into my garage and puff the blunt or one hitter that I have waiting for me.

Done this before with Half Marathon

You might be saying, this is crazy and he will never make it. But, don’t you fool your self. I have done this before. In 2009, I ran the Chicago Half Marathon after training and smoking weed at the same time. Most of my friends thought I was crazy, but I just didn’t see how a few puffs of marijuana was going to stop me from attaining my goal. It was not like I was knocking back two packs of cigarettes a day. With marijuana, you only have to smoke a little bit, so the damage on your lungs is minimal.

Besides, if you ask me, the marijuana helps with the recovery time after the run. I go out and run 8 miles, my legs, lungs, and body is killing me, but after I hit the blunt that is waiting on me I feel a lot better.

Time to Kick it off

Although my official training is only 18 months long, I don’t want to go into this thing cold and have to start fresh, so I will begin my training on my own schedule today. My goal will be to get up to 6 miles comfortably before my 18 week countdown begins.

But first, let me pearly my first blunt so when I get back from this 3 mile run today, it will be ready.

Flight Time!!!

Let’s get it in smokers!

Why do distractions happen when you get high?

It never fails. I like to plan my day, so at a certain time I am going to get high. It is in the plan. The day can be going along perfectly and soon as I sneak off to my smoking spot, fire up the ganja, and get back to my activities, someone or something calls to interrupt you.

Today, I was high as a kite, floating and enjoying my day. Then the telephone rings, you get an inbox on Facebook, or even a text, someone needs you to do something and it is urgent on their end. Meaning, you have to stop what you are doing and attend to this pressing matter.

Lately, it seems that is all that has been happening to me and I am not feeling it one bit. I plan my day, work my ass off to get in the groove, only to get high, then get interrupted.

Does this happen to you and how do you handle the situations that arise? Do you just keep smoking and ignore the issues?

Blaze one and let me know where you stand.

My children don’t know I smoke weed, does yours?

This is an interesting topic that hit me as my children went to school and I blazed up a blunt I rolled yesterday. Seems like the weed is better the second day, but back to the point.

My children don’t know I smoke weed. I have gone through great lengths to make sure they don’t have any idea over the years. I never smoke inside the house, they have never seen me with it, and use visine to get the red out of my eyes. Typically,  I use a one hitter so I rarely smell like marijuana.

This has worked for me up to this point, but my oldest is 10 now, about to be 11 and he is getting very much more aware now and if I am not careful, he will find out.

I have been to people’s houses where they just openly have the marijuana out, rolling, packing, puffing with the children in the room. It is parental preference here, but I am the same way with cigarettes and that smoke as well. The children’s lungs are still developing and smoke free environment is best for them.

How about you? Do your children know you smoke marijuana and do you do it in the house?

My smoke spot now is in the garage or backyard. In the past we have lived in apartments, so the balcony as the boogie. Let me know where you stand.

The Marijuana Perspective on the New US Health Care Bill

It is official, Potheads, the United States of America has a new health care bill that passed is and is being touted as the most historic legislation in the past 40 years. As Vice President, Joe Biden, said, “This is a BIG FUCKING DEAL!”

I couldn’t believe that he said such a think to the President on the mic. What, did he not know the microphone would be live and on when it is next to the President, or did he just not give a damn because it was a big fucking deal.

No matter how you feel about the legislation, it was about time this country did something to help the people that are struggling through this economy.

With that said, I am not feeling this bill at all. It is luke warm as they say. Think about it, this bill pleased no one, but the Insurance companies, the President didn’t get the support he wanted and how are they going to stop Insurance companies from raising the prices.

I would have liked to see a nonprofit healthcare sector. That would have done it for me. At least that would have giving me the illusion that someone cared about the people. The people are only the backbone, muscle, and tissue of this country. You would think or hope that those that Govern it would at least show an interest in the people beyond lip service.

I don’t want to get to political on this site, but Potheads have an opinion as well.

One bill I would like to see is the one that legalizes marijuana and makes it available to the people to use on the medical and recreational purposes.

What do you think of the Health Care bill?
