How long do you think it is going to take before the legalizing of marijuana happens I am not sure of the answer to this question, but what I am sure of is that it needs to be legal….and soon.
3 Reasons the Legalization of Marijuana Should Happen
1) Adults Can make their own decisions - I wanted to start this off first with the main point. Aren’t we adults? I hope so and adults should be able to make their own decisions. It makes no sense that at the age of 18, an adult can sign up to risk their life at war and smoke deadly cigaretts. At 21, an adult can choose to consume alcohol which over time has proven to not only destroy the liver, but kill other people in violent crimes that are alcohol induced and drunk driving. But at the age of 45, I cannot fire up a joint, blunt, or hit the bong on my back porch and relax. This just doesn’t make any sense at all.
2) Medical Marijuana - Obviously, I am a marijuana and weed smoker, thus I am a little bias, but when it comes to medical marijuana, these law makers have got to be kidding me. I saw a documentary entitled “In Pot We Trust” about the various uses of marijuana and let me tell you, it is amazing. You hear of people that have these illnesses that need marijuana, but to see it on the documentary or in real life is something totally different. People suffering from multiple sclerosis can live normal lives just by hitting a marijuana joint from time to time during the day. Sad that law makers want to stop them from enjoying a “normal” life. Marijuana legalization has to happen!
3) The Hemp Industry - Marijuana is nothing but hemp. And hemp is a product that create everything from rope to houses that we live in. It is amazing, but the use of this natural, organic, renewable resource isn’t being capitalized on because there are some out there that fear marijuana is a gateway drug and will lead little kids to doing crack. As to say alcohol isn’t a gateway drug. Do you know many crackheads that will not drink beer or alcohol?
Anyway, the hemp industry is being help back because of these silly laws and it is about time all of this is halted and what is good for the people is brought back to the front of everyone’s minds. If you ask me, it is a no brainier that legalizing of marijuana should happen soon, if not yesterday.
