New York Marijuana Scene

We have had the opportunity to smoke marijuana in New York, California, Chicago, Texas, and everywhere in between. However, I can tell you this. There is no place like New York. You might think that it is the financial capital of the world, but a quick ride around town and you will f ind out that it is also fighting for the right to be called the marijuana capital of the world

New York and marijuana

The great State of New York has been smoking marijuana since before it was officially introduced as a state. The so called Indianas and the the dwellers of the Canadian region were heavily into marijuana or ganja at the time. Once the United States took control of the region, there was little they could do about the wide spread use of marijuana in this State.

And to be truthful, there was nothing that they wanted to do. It wasn’t until 1937 when the Marijuana laws were passed and the beautiful drug became illegal in New York and every other state in the union that the police and government tried to do something about it. Now, we won’t go into why marijuana was made illegal in the first place in this article, but we will explore this idea in greater detail later. Believe that!

Today, the New York Marijuana scene is buzzing. It doesn’t matter if you are upstate or down state, Mary Jane is everywhere and the people are open and honest about loving it to the fullest.

The wild thing about it is that everyone smokes marijuana in New York. The media portrays the hip hop community as the only segment that enjoys marijuana, but this is so far from the truth it is shameful for them to put such a slant on it.

Now don’t get me wrong, the hip hop community seems to love their marijuana and weed, skunk, ganja like the best of them, but they are by far not the only ones that are into the naturally growing substance. In fact, depending on where you are will determine the weed smokers that ou will find.

Because if you are in the business district and you the trust of the group, you will find CEOs, attorneys, real estate agents, managers, executives, and even politicians enjoying the ganja, marijuana from time to time.

If you are in the rural areas of New York, yes they have rural areas in New York, then you will find the hick townsmen enjoying the fine grass of marijuana as well. If you are in the projects, you will find the hood mates enjoying the stress free smoking of the ganja as well.

It doesn’t matter your nationality, your race, your religion, your creed, all walks of life enjoy the goodness that Mary Jane and marijuana brings to their life. Don’t fight it! When you are in New York be sure to enjoy the marijuana scene cause you will thank yourself!

Favorite Times to Smoke Marijuana and Weed

What’s up, Big Time Smokers?

I hope you have a phatty ready for the ride and the experience that we are about to share today. On my mind is my favorite times to smoke marijuana and/or weed, whatever you like to call it. Sometimes I call it ganja and just like to keep it moving.

Anyway, the this post came about because I was hanging with some of my friends the other day and one of them said that they were headed outside to smoke. I said, what are you smoking and the response was NOT CIGAREETTES. You know what that means? Fire it up!

Nevertheless, this was one of my favorite times to smoke because….well, I will explain in a second, but let’s get into the list.

Here are my top5 times to smoke marijuana and/or weed:

1) 4:20pm – You know this is the international time to smoke a phatty, so don’t even fight it. Whenever I am fortunate enough to fire one up at this time I feel the worldwide solidarity of the moment and I love to participate. What smoker doesn’t, right?

2) Alone – No, this doesn’t mean that I have a problem and so what if it does, I really don’t care cause I like it. Whenever I am able to fire up a phat one it gives me great time to think and provides insight on my life and existance that I don’t like to take for granted. I am able to clear my mind and skull of all the chatter that is going on around me and for a few moments relax and plot my course for the future.

3) When no one else is high in the room – Yes, this is a thrill for me. I don’t get the paranoid feelings that everyone is looking at me cause I am looking at everyone else thinking, why are you not smoking? Nevertheless, I find that it makes the conversations much more interesting, real and enjoyable than the regular bullshit conversations that most people engage in on a day to day basis.

4) With Good Friends – There is nothing like firing up some goodness with a group of people that you know, love, and respect. It tends to make the conversation a lot more interesting as well, in addition, providing additional insight to the thought process of many of your friends because they tend to put their guard down when responding.

5) Before Sex – Regaurdless of the lies that you hear people talking about, marijuana enhances sex. Well it does for me. I am able to feel every nuance of my partners touch and warmness on my body and it is great. I am not sure what it does for the length of time that we may have sex. In fact, I think it my decrease the length of time because your body is stimulated and feeling every subtle movement and essence of your partner, but I don’t think this is a bad thing.

So, there you have it. Those are my top 5 times to smoke marijuana and/or weed. What are yours?

Often times I wonder why there are not more songs about marijuana and weed on the radio, but I guess in these times people getting more and more into heavier drugs, but that just isn’t my scene.

Marijuana Nutrients

There are two sides to the marijuana nutrients discussion that we will take on briefly today. The first side is the amount of nutrients that marijuana needs to grow. The second is the nutrients in marijuana that actually benefit human health better than most drugs that are prescribed by the medical profession.

Marijuana Nutrients

In order to grow properly, marijuana needs a certain level of nutrients that are going to allow it to grow. Many of these nutrients are found in regular planting soil. However, if you are growing hydroponically, then you don’t need as many of these nutrients as the water serves it’s purpose in allowing the plant to grow under different conditions. If you decide to grow potted marijuana plants, then you will have to ensure that their appropriate level of marijuana nutrients are present in the soil.

Medical Marijuana Nutrients.

A study has been released by scientist at Scripps Research Institution in California linking marijuana usage to a reduction in the likelihood of alzheimer’s settling in. According to the study, the THC in marijuana actually acts as a preventative to the breakdown of neurotransmitter acetylcholine better than many of the commercially marketed prescription drugs. The researchers say they are not telling everyone to go out and start smoking marijuana for the nutrients in order to prevent the alzheimer’s disease, but it might not be a bad thing to as many have tried to paint that picture.

Nevertheless, like everything, you shouldn’t believe everything that you read, but don’t count out the medical benefits of marijuana nutrients.

Marijuana Lung Cancer

There has been a long debate over marijuana and it being the cause for lung cancer. Well today, We Smoke Marijuana want’s to put it’s two cents into the debate.

Allow me to quickly answer the question “Does marijuana cause lung cancer”? I can definitively say, NO!!! Don’t listen to all the half-cocked garbage that you hear people saying about the negatives of marijuana. Marijuana does not cause lung cancer.

Research finding after research finding supports what we already know here at We Smoke Marijuana, it doesn’t cause lung cancer. I don’t blame people for thinking that it might contribute to the development of lung cancer, but it actually fights it off.

Largest Marijuana Lung Cancer Study

According to the Washington Post in 2006, the largest marijuana lung cancer study every done was funded by the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute on Drug Abuse, involved over 1,200 people in the Los Angeles area who had lung, neck, or head cancer. In addition, 1,040 people without cancer at all was included, matched by age, sex, and neighborhood. Was an extensive study, but what was interesting was what the researcher found.

The new findings “were against our expectations,” said Donald Tashkin of the University of California at Los Angeles, a pulmonologist who has studied marijuana for 30 years.

“We hypothesized that there would be a positive association between marijuana use and lung cancer, and that the association would be more positive with heavier use,” he said. “What we found instead was no association at all, and even a suggestion of some protective effect.”

The fact that the research Tashkin had previously thought that marijuana was bad for the lungs and in fact did cause lung cancer in the past, had a complete reversal of his opinion and now believes that their is no correlation is amazing. In fact, in the article he mentions that he believes the use of marijuana actual stops, shrinks, and prevents the grow of cancer in the lungs. Talk about a complete turn around.

The research is in. Marijuana does not cause lung cancer.
